What happened to Surprise Lake Camp (SLC)?
Surprise Lake Camp ran children's summer camps from 1951 until 2016, when they decided to put program delivery on hold in order to allow Surprise Lake Society to focus on upgrading the facilities. SLC facilities still exist and are available for private rentals.
What is Beyond The Trees (BTT)?
Beyond The Trees was created by April Keighan (previous SLC camp director) in order to bring camp programs to the public. BTT now rents the SLC facilities in order to run summer camp programs and works alongside the society to ensure there are camps available for years to come!
